Why would the Giants waste a lot of their cap on a Starting pitcher who is inconsistant at best? Bryce tell me why please.

there's no salary cap in Major League Baseball. but I'll agree, they have spent a lot of money on him when he's been inconsistent the past few seasons. if he could return to his former self, it will be money well spent.

Even though Tim has struggled that past few years, he has still shown glimpses of his old form. He has thrown a no-hitter, and has had some great pitching performances. I think that is why the Giants are willing to take the risk on him, and hope that he can perform to his original CY Young form.

He is washed up, they should have saved that salary, and looked to better their position players. They already have a good pitching staff, but could tune their position players. There are some top position free agents out there

While Lincecum has been inconsistent the last few years, he has shown signs of his old self. He is still young. That and the fact they had to spend money on him or else some other team would pick him up and offer him more. He is one of the faces of the franchise too. Makes sense on his part to sign because he loves to toke and Cali = weed capital of the world.

Look for Tim to really get himself turned around this year. People have been saying that for the past few years now, but I believe this is the year that he gets his mechanic issues figured out. He is so worried about how his mechanics are, he just needs to trust himself. He has had a lot of success so far in his young career, so look for a much better this year compared to his last few.
